Okay, so this one made me chuckle.  Here’s a quick note from someone who just backed the Age of Empyre Kickstarter (emphasis mine).

I wanted to take a quick moment to thank you. This is my first opportunity to back one of your books through Kickstarter, but my wife and I have been enjoying your novels since we first ran across Royce and Hadrian on Audible eight years ago. We tended to save them for our several hour-long drives to visit family. I can’t count the number of times we’d sit in a driveway listening just a bit longer before going inside. More than once the book would be interrupted by one of our parents calling to ask why we’d been sitting outside in the car so long. Thank you! You’ve brought us years of joy.

The project was fully funded in less than an hour and it’ll run for just a bit over two weeks. More than 1,500 people are already joining in the fun and we have raised over $57,000.  Reward levels range from $5 – $160 so there is something for every budget.
