Because I’ve been published in all three routes (small press, self, and traditional) I feel I have an interesting perspective on all the possibilities. There are many who claim one or the other as “the right choice” and to be honest, I don’t think that is so. I think there IS a “right choice” for an individual author, but when you try to extrapolate that across ALL authors that you get into a problem. The bottom line is it really depends on the writer’s goals. As such I try to explore both the positive and negative aspects of each. I write about publishing for Amazing Stories, and I’ll repost links (organized) here.

Yes, it can be very overwhelming and a lot to learn. But I think it will be time well spent.
